Warnings, roads & evacuation
Go directly to official current information. This page does not display live alerts.
No live warnings are reproduced here. Open the official service, choose the right location and hazard, and read the full warning and issue time. A blank map does not mean an area is safe.
Hazard maps and local notifications
HazardWatch
Official interactive hazard-warning map. NSW SES links to HazardWatch for current flood, severe weather and tsunami warnings.
Important: Check the displayed hazard coverage, location, issue time and full warning. A blank map or no displayed warnings does not mean your location is safe.
Hazards Near Me NSW
Find the official Hazards Near Me app through the NSW emergency hub and set watch zones for relevant local emergencies.
Important: Keep more than one information channel. Do not rely on receiving an app notification before acting.
RFS Fires Near Me
Official NSW RFS incident map and fire information. Read the incident advice and follow emergency-service instructions.
Important: Maps may not show every incident or update immediately. Do not wait for a mapped incident before taking protective action.

Evacuation centres
NSW SES evacuation centres
Current evacuation-centre locations and opening hours; the page also gives evacuation guidance.
Important: Centres open only during emergencies and status changes. Follow evacuation instructions immediately; check routes via Live Traffic. For fires, consult NSW RFS as directed by the page.
Centres and safe routes change. Do not travel to an assumed centre based on an old screenshot, saved copy or this directory. Follow current emergency-service directions.
Understand warning levels
The NSW emergency hub explains three levels: Advice, Watch and Act, and Emergency Warning. Read the action statement, not just the colour or level. Different hazards and locations require different actions.

Do not rely on one channel
Use relevant agency websites and apps and local emergency broadcasts. Power, mobile coverage and internet access can fail. Follow Get Ready NSW to prepare communication backups.
